Its raining again today, which is always tricky isn’t it? What to do with the children? ……
I rang my sister first thing today for some inspiration, some ideas of what we can do on such a miserable day, but we are both so bored of the local indoor activities, we have exhausted all rainy day options!
So we ended baking a victoria sponge cake, not original I know, but for our children ranging between 1 to almost 6, its really the best entertainment!! so here we go …….
I was playing Pairs with Isabelle today, when I looked up and noticed her awfully, wonky fringe, which I had paid the hairdresser to cut yesterday!! Firstly, how did I not notice before and secondly, I am now positive I can do better myself!! (well there’s a photoblog for the future, as that will definitely be an experiment!!)
So (obviously!) I wanted to share a photo of my discovery with my Instagram and Facebook friends and asked Isabelle to show me her best smile ….. why I tried, with her being in such a mischievous mood, I don’t know, but kind of love her reaction anyway. Its been a busy day today; shopping, a girlie lunch, swimming lessons and a party for Isabelle, so once we all managed to finally re-convene, we had a lovely evening just pottering around the house.
I dragged out the old easel (which I put away as they literally never played with it, now its out again after a few months, thats all they want to play with!). Oh and we had a little skateboard fun ….
I just had to share this photo from today! It does a great job of summing Isabelle up ….. A pretty tutu skirt, accessorised with a pair of Minion socks!! Love her!!
It feels like its been a long time coming, but here it was today…. some sunshine!! and, at all of 12 degrees it felt practically tropical in comparison to what we have had recently.
So we obviously made the most of it and grabbed the opportunity to get outside and, even though I wrapped the kids up, within minutes we were dumping the coats and even the jumpers at points (well, kids just don’t feel the cold do they?!?) and running around in t-shirts, it was gorgeous!!
