My poor little Isabellie-Boo was poorly today. Its tricky isn’t it, the mummy-guilt! I should be working, but I need to be with my baby. Times like these are even more difficult to juggle.
So, after phones are diverted and emails are forwarded, I get to spend a gorgeous day snuggled up on the sofa watching TV with Isabelle (enjoyable once the guilt subsides!!)
Today was absolutely gorgeous!! perfect blue skies, the sun was out, although it was chilly in the shade, but I had to make the most of it, it would have been criminal to spend a day like today inside! So, me and my husband were cutting back the dead shrubs and clearing the beds, whilst the girls were re-potting some flowers …. they then spent an hour or so making mud pies, but it was all good fun!!
I recently started a ‘photo a day’ photography project for February, which I have massively enjoyed. So, I have now completed a full week and its actually been harder than I first thought! Its all well and good, taking a photo from the day, but to try and come up with something original and interesting on a daily basis was a challenge, its making me think a little differently, trying to photograph something that everyone will enjoy!

I was struggling with what to do with the children this morning ……… it was freezing cold outside and there was no way I could face another soft-play induced headache, so home entertainment had to be the way forward!!
I am bored of play-dough (even though the kids aren’t), we have baked enough cakes this week to keep us well fed and theres only so much lego one family can build!! ….. so we came up with this great idea!!!
(…. although I am still undecided whether it is such a great idea, or whether its just going to be a huge mess of paint all over my kitchen floor!! ….. but so far so good!!
Plus, I think this will actually keep them entertained for days, it seems to be an never-ending project, every time they walk into the kitchen they pick up their paint brushes and add a bit, although, I don’t know whether I want this as a permanent fixture ??!?
Oh my god!! we finally have snow!! I am so excited….!!
We have been patiently watching the weather forecast for the last few weeks, only to find out everywhere in the world, apart from us, has snow!! (well, ok, not everywhere in the world, but it felt like that to us!). We weren’t expecting it at all last night as it wasn’t on the forecast, but as we woke at 6.30 this morning and flung back the curtains …. there is was …. a silent, inch thick layer had arrived!!
It seriously is as exciting as Christmas Day for us …. !!!!
So here are a few photos from mine and Isabelle’s winter walk …… we did only manage about 3/4 hour, i felt it was time to return home when Isabelle complained that she couldn’t feel her feet anymore!!
