I am getting really annoyed with these gloomy, grey days , a little bit of sunshine would be amazing!!

We have a local pottery painting studio near us, admittedly its not the cheapest of winter day ideas, but every so often, its a great idea and I know my girls get so much enjoyment out of it.

So what to paint? I was trying to steer Isabelle toward a figurine, a fairy, or even a dragon (knowing Isabelle) as they seem to be the best option for kids, they can just smother the character in paint and it looks ok, but no, she decided on a plate, as apparently she wanted to use it for breakfast.  So this is the result, I do find it very hard to not get involved and let them be their own creative soles, but in all honesty they do make a lot of mess!!

One of my favourite cities in the world is definitely London, but even though we live just over an hour away, we never seem to spend any time there! So, we decided to take the girls for a sight-seeing weekend …..

I had that dreaded moment today ….. i was busy running around, finishing those awful chores, trying to fit everything in whilst your little’un is entertaining themselves …..but then, you realise the house has gone quiet ……………… arghhhhhhhhhh…….. the panic sets in ………… as you run, you are preparing yourself for the devastation that your little baby has left you …………. Only to find ………. she’s playing nicely by herself !!!

I am sure I am not alone when I say that I absolutely love those bright, crisp winter mornings!! I literally want to jump out of bed and drag the kids out as quickly as possible, so’s not to miss a minute of the sunshine, especially as at this time of year, as you never quite know when the next sunny day will appear!

I am so lucky to live where we do as there are an endless amount of places to choose from, where we can get out and stretch our legs. These photos are from The Chase, a National Trust managed nature reserve just outside of Newbury, one of my favourite places to be as its simply so stunningly gorgeous all year round.

(I am not too sure what the need for the swimming goggles is all about, but she has been wearing them everywhere for the last few days, lets hope this faze ends soon!!)
