We have had an amazingly hectic half term, as I am sure every family has! Planned to precision, until the school had a break in and had to send the kids home at 10.30am one day!! Nightmare!! So with the juggling of work and child care all week, I felt a day at home, chilling out, would do us all some good.
So, a day at home basically means baking something, at some point, otherwise we would probably send each other a little crazy!! So here we are ….. at home ….. baking!!
This is one of my favourite photography jobs! A children’s birthday party…. filled with lots of fun and adventures and children high on E numbers (the kids seem to even care less about the camera when they’ve had a slice of birthday cake!!), plus this was even better as I was photographing my daughters 7th birthday, yay!!
So we started with a little bowling (by the way, Basingstoke Bowlplex soon to be Hollywood Bowlplex or something like that, were amazing!! they come highly recommended), followed by a family BBQ at our house (family, means 24 people, we have a lot of family, so it tends to be a large gathering!!).

I have been so desperate to get the girls down to our local bluebell fields, they look so stunning and I know their season is so short lived, but the weather has just been so rubbish. It feels as though we have had the longest winter ever! ok, its not been too extreme, but I started to wonder if the sun would ever appear!!
Love this farm!! We have our season ticket here this year, so its our ‘go to’ day out! The weather forecast looked borderline ok, but it turns out it was completely gorgeous, the sun was out all afternoon!!
I literally cannot believe Leila has turned 6! I can remember those days in Basingstoke Hospital like it as yesterday!! Like every new mum, I thought it was the worst experience I could ever go through, I was unfortunately induced and actually thought i was going to die!! Anyway, 12 or so hours later, my beautiful, gorgeous girl arrived…. full of smiles, and was totally worth the effort!!
