So, the Christmas fun and madness has subsided and the house is now filled to the brim with new children’s toys (which I am sure I will still be trying to organise in March!!), meaning its now the time to start thinking of sending out the all important thank you cards.
The easiest option of course is to buy a pack of generic thank you cards from the shop, but I think its always such a lovely touch to send a personalised photo card especially as there are so many great websites now that offer a simple design service for the same cost.
So now I need to convince the girls that this is a good idea and not some kind of punishment! Leila will tolerate me to a point and politely smile when asked, (although she’ll often offer me her best Wallace & Gromit grin in an attempt to get me to take the photo and move on!!), but Isabelle would much rather run in the opposite direction or insist on looking at the floor whenever asked to look at the camera.
Anyway, this is the result of an hour long walk through the woods, with some careful distraction tactics and gentle bribery, I hope you like …..

One of Leila’s more natural smiles …

Of course there was plenty of time for some all important tree climbing …
I am pleased to say, they did amazingly well and this the chosen option ……
